One of the biggest stories in the past weeks is the Occupy Wall Street protest. This protest had started in New York and had spread to Philadelphia. In center city Philadelphia, hundreds gathered outside City Hall in a show of solidarity ahead of a city-imposed Sunday evening deadline at 5 pm to clear a campsite there. Some protesters were determined not to move at all, while some said they had removed their other valuables from the site ahead of time.
I agree with the protesters on this issue because many wealthier Americans are not giving back to the other Americans. Another reason why I agree with the protesters is because some homeless Americans would get help and have some where to sleep other than on the streets.
One thing I do not agree with is the camping out on the street. Some said they planned to sit down and resist efforts by police to remove them which can be very dangerous and risky. This movement have grown because when told are demanded to move more and more people join and support them. I believe the protesters should continue until they have achieved they goal that richer Americans need to contribute and help out the less fortunate.
