Plan B

Plan B, the so-called “morning after pill” is marketed as a back- up birth-control method, similar to a heavy dose of the birth control pill, only it can be taken up to 72 hours after intercourse to prevent pregnancy. It prevents the release of an egg from the ovary and stop fertilization of an egg, but does not work if already pregnancy. If Plan B is not taking right it could end up having an adverse effect. If 17 or older Plan B is available without a prescription at a pharmacy counter. If under 17, you'll need a prescription from a doctor.
I think that Plan B is a good product for women because if a woman or teens thinks she might be pregnancy taking a Plan B would be safe and effective. Another reason why is because birth controls can fail and you need something to use that is also safe. That is why I think Plan B is a good choice.

Jerry Sandusky

One of the biggest stories in the past day is that Former Penn State Coach Jerry Sandusky was arrested again, sent to jail. Sandusky walked in handcuffs into the courthouse charged with sexually assaulting two more male victims. Sandusky was already charged on November 5th with 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight young boys over a 15-year span. Jerry Sandusky's attorney says he will be working throughout the night to get his client out of jail on $250,000 bail.
According to the grand jury, one of his victims, victim 9 first encountered Sandusky in approximately 2004, while participating in a summer camp organized by The Second Mile, when he was 11 or 12 years old. Sandusky allegedly approached the young man, engaged him in conversation and expressed an interest in spending more time with the child.
I think that Jerry Sandusky should remain in jail longer than the first time he was in there. The reason why I think Jerry Sandusky should stay in jail is because he has done a lot of wrong and hurt to those children and their parents. Another reason is because nobody knows or has an idea what he might do to other little children. These are the reasons why I think he should stay in jail.

Obama Seeking More Money For AIDS Programs

One story in the past day is that Obama will seek more money for AIDS programs. On Thursday President Obama said that he is seeking money for efforts to prevent and treat the disease in the United States and globally. He had also ended a ban that prevented people with HIV-A.I.D.S. from entering the country. President Obama announced that he was committing to seek $15 million more for the Ryan White program supporting H.I.V. medical clinics in the United States and $35 million for state programs providing access to necessary drugs.
I believe that this is the right thing to do because people with HIV and AIDS need the help they can get to get better. Another reason why I think this is the right thing to help the people who are in need because over half a million people have died of AIDS in America. There are also about 1.2 million people living with HIV in the United States of America.
The president just put a powerful down payment toward the end of the AIDS crisis. So these are the reasons why I think Obama seeking money to treat and prevent the diseases in the United States and globally are very important.
