Obama Seeking More Money For AIDS Programs

One story in the past day is that Obama will seek more money for AIDS programs. On Thursday President Obama said that he is seeking money for efforts to prevent and treat the disease in the United States and globally. He had also ended a ban that prevented people with HIV-A.I.D.S. from entering the country. President Obama announced that he was committing to seek $15 million more for the Ryan White program supporting H.I.V. medical clinics in the United States and $35 million for state programs providing access to necessary drugs.
I believe that this is the right thing to do because people with HIV and AIDS need the help they can get to get better. Another reason why I think this is the right thing to help the people who are in need because over half a million people have died of AIDS in America. There are also about 1.2 million people living with HIV in the United States of America.
The president just put a powerful down payment toward the end of the AIDS crisis. So these are the reasons why I think Obama seeking money to treat and prevent the diseases in the United States and globally are very important.
